Joseph Thomas Poland

Joseph Thomas Poland, 66, died May 23, 2009 at his residence in Red Oak.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Gladys Poland and Father: Herbert Poland, Brother: Jimmy Poland.
He is survived by his daughter: Angel Poland Johnson and husband James of Red Oak. Grandchildren: Anthony, Austin, and Angel lea Carpenter. Sister: Shirley Shearin and husband Tony of Elm City, Two Brothers: Donnie Poland and wife Alice of Rocky Mount, Johnny Poland and wife, Christine of Rocky Mount. Many cousins, aunts, uncles and wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 1912 Sunset Ave., Rocky Mount. The Pastor Terry Johnson will be officiating. The interment will follow in the Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 until 9 p.m. at Johnson on Sunset.
