Marie Marshburn Phillips

Marie Marshburn Phillips, 79, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 1994.
She was born Oct. 31, 1914, in Wake County, daughter of the late George Henry and Annie Liles Marshburn. She was a retired salesperson, having worked 25 years at the Campus Room.
Surviving: daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Butch Thompson of Lilburn, Ga.; grandchildren, Stephen Thompson, Kevin Thompson and Benjamin Thompson, all of Lilburn, Ga.; brother, Robert Marshburn of Hampton, Va.; sister, Marjorie Effird of Kinston.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home, Sunset Ave. Chapel. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
