Betty G Phillips

Betty Gibson Phillips, 69, died Monday, July 1, 1996.
She was born March 11, 1927, in Nash County, daughter of the late Joseph P. and Rosa Lee Barnes Gibson.
Surviving: husband, Lawrence T. Phillips; daughters, Wanda Page of Nashville, Vickie Sanders of Hendersonville; sons, Bruce Phillips and Mike Phillips, both of Rocky Mount; six grandchildren; sister, Bertha Hennesey of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brothers, Louis Gibson of Rocky Mount, Lamont Gibson of Hartford, Conn.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday at Arlington Baptist Church, with Dr. William Tomlinson and the Rev. Russell Mauldin officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home, Sunset Avenue., other times at the home.
