Emma Crocker Phelps

Mrs. Emma Crocker Phelps, 95, departed this life for her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 18, 1992.
She was born in Franklin County Dec. 11, 1896, daughter of the late John Daniel and Tempie Privette Qualls. She was the widow of the late Walter Phelps.
Surviving: sons, Arvey Crocker of Red Oak, Wilton Crocker of Dortches and E.H. Dick Crocker of Rocky Mount; daughters, Florene Rose and Lois Davis, both of Rocky Mount; brother, Kelly Qualls of Raleigh; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: son, Bernard Crocker; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with the Rev. Jeff Hedgepeth officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home, Sunset Avenue, other times at 613 S. Pine St.
