William Luther Pate, 77, died Saturday, July 7, 1990, at his home.
Born June 22, 1913 , in Duplin County, he was the son of the late William D. and Ophelia Myers Pate. He was a retired mechanic with Burlington Industries and widower of Grace Williams Pate.
Surviving: daughters, Doris P. Morris and Catherine P. Bailey, both of Rocky Mount; sisters, Dessie Creel, Nora Malpass and Beulah Pate all of Goldsboro; brothers, L.M. Pate of Hopewell, VA and R.O. Pate of Chester, VA; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Monday July 9, 1990 at Gay-Yost Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jay Winston, III and the Rev. Dwayne Larson officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm today at the funeral home or other times at the home.
