Rebecca F Parks

November 20, 1939 ~ March 3, 2024
Rocky Mount –
With her loving family by her side, Rebecca “Becky” Fox Parks, age 84, finished her time here on earth and was called Home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
Becky was born on November 20,1939 in Statesville, North Carolina to Clint and Octavia Fox. She grew to become a cherished and fiercely faithful wife and mother who deeply impacted the lives of those around her. Her eulogy was the life she lived for the past eighty-four years, serving her Lord, caring for her family, and sharing the Gospel. She had the sweetest smile and a selfless nature that gave her a calming presence and always made others feel welcome. She was a mighty prayer warrior, always holding firm on the promises of God. Even to the end, Becky was humble and joyful, gentle in spirit, and more than ready to see her Savior face to face. Everything about her will be deeply missed by so many who love her.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her devoted husband of sixty years, Edwin Parks; and siblings, Duree Reneger, Merita Lanier, Charles Fox, and Godfrey “Bud” Fox.
She leaves a lifetime of treasured memories for her beloved family that includes her five sons, Joey Parks (Valerie), Phil Parks (Holly), Ricky Parks (Rebecca), Tommy Parks (Sarah), and David Parks (Katherine). She will also be greatly missed by her brothers: Robert S. Fox (Nancy) and Michael E. Fox (Missy), all of Chapel Hill, as well as many friends and other extended relatives.
Becky’s heartstrings and sweetest blessings were her precious grandchildren, Genna, Sydney, Bailey, Will, Luke, Drew, Octavia, Cale, Benjamin, Aiden, Cooper, and Alan; great-grandchildren, Laila, Grey, Charlie, Olivia, and Luke; and step-granddaughters, Hayleigh and Kristen.
A service to honor God and celebrate Becky’s life will take place at 3:00 pm, Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Proctors Chapel Baptist Church, 2917 Old Wilson Rd, Rocky Mount. Friends are invited to visit the family in the Family Life Center prior to the service, beginning at 1:30 pm – 2:45 pm.
