Alma Estelle Woolard Oglesby

Alma Jones Woolard Oglesby, age 87, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Born in Darlington County, SC on September 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James Sanford Jones and Annie Brewington Jones. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Jones; her sister, Shirley Ann Earlin; and the late Daniel Oglesby;

Alma is survived by her sons, James T. Woolard and wife, Debbie, of Rocky Mount, William A. Woolard and wife, Donna, of Rocky Mount, Michael D. Woolard and wife, Sherry, of Sunset Beach, Stephen C. Woolard and wife, Denise, of Rocky Mount; her daughters, Tammy Oglesby of High Point, Tracy Pridgen, and husband, Steve, of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Michael D. Woolard, Jr. and wife, Stephanie, B.J. Woolard and wife, Rebecca, Ashley Woolard Doiel, Alma Michelle Woolard, Danielle Cerrie, Elizabeth L. Overton and husband, Daniel; her great-grandchildren, Chloe Woolard, Cameron Woolard, Emma Woolard, and Raylee Jean Overton; her brother-in-law, Larry Earlin of Charleston, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

A Private Graveside Service to celebrate Alma’s life will be held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Mausoleum with Rev. Mary Todd officiating.

Entombment will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Mausoleum.
