Betty Barnes Mosley

Betty Barnes Mosley, 80, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1993. She was born Jan. 14, 1913, in Nash County, daughter of the late Charlie J. and Susan Bone Barnes. She was widow of the late Leon V. Mosley, former owner and operator of Mosley’s Shady Lake Motel.
Surviving: daughter, Dean Mosley Jackson of Rocky Mount; sons, L. Colon Mosley and C. Harlon Mosley, both of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Debbie Stilley of Enfield, Cathy Mosley of Little Rock, Ark., Kristie J Wallace of Branden, Fla., Susan J. Hedgepeth of Red Oak and Kennon E. Jackson Jr. of Rocky Mount; three great-grandchildren; sisters Cleo Worrell and Pattie Langley, both of Rocky Mount, Doodle Lindsay of Pamlico Beach.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Friday at Johnson Funeral Home, Sunset Ave., with the Revs Mike Farmer and Dewey Bowling officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home; other times at the home 17 Mosley Drive.
