Richard Calvin Moore

BATTLEBORO– Richard “Calvin” Moore, age 76, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022. Born in Pitt County, NC on September 6, 1945, he was the son of the late James Calvin Moore and Doris Jones Moore. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Moore; his son, Richie Moore; his grandsons, Keith Gibson and Joshua Moore; and his brother, Jimmy Moore.

Calvin loved going fishing and being outside. He worked hard to provide a great life for his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him, but his loving spirit will never be forgotten as he was everything to his family.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Anita Rogers Moore; his daughter, Terry Saint; his son, Greg Moore and wife, Samantha; his step-son, Christopher Glenn Parker; his granddaughter, Ivey Tadlock and husband, Tony; his great-grandsons, Cole Mlostek, Chase Smith, Collin Tadlock, and Carson Tadlock; his sisters, Marie Moore Goff and husband, Gene, Faye Moore Eason, and Dorothy Moore Stowe and husband, Jerry; and his nieces and nephews, James, Cathy, Allen, Mark, Leslie, Joseph, and Erika.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.
