Ronald Dean Metcalf. Sr

Ronald “Dean” Metcalf, Sr., age 76, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. Born in Wellsboro, PA on January 9, 1946, he was the son of the late Helen Fairbrother. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Johnny Fairbrother; and his son, Ronald Metcalf, Jr.

Dean was actively involved in his church, Ridgecrest Worship Center, loved to travel and was an electrician for CSX railroad for over 20 years. He was known for his ability to fix almost anything.

Dean Metcalf is survived by his wife of 57 years, Catherine Metcalf, 3 children, Rachelle Nichols and spouse Harold, Dr. Richard Metcalf and wife Suzanne, Renee Peele and husband GT, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Ridgecrest Worship Center, 1120 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC with Pastor Doug Bowers officiating. A private burial will be held at a later time at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the service in the Sanctuary of Ridgecrest Worship Center.
