Willis "Bud" Jennings Mclamb

Willis Jennings “Bud” McLamb, age 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born in Benson, NC on June 18, 1928, to William and Cecil McLamb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lowell; sister, Margaret; his beloved wife, Ruby Watson McLamb; and son, Stephen McLamb.

He is survived by his daughters, Susan Felton (Gerry), Scottie Powell (Larry) and Stephanie Pantoja (Billy).

He was especially proud of his grandchildren, Gerry Felton, III (Shaina), Matthew Felton (Natalie), Andrew Felton (Melissa) and Timothy Felton (Allison); Christopher Dunn (Kerry), Brittanie Dunn, Shepherd Dunn, and Laramie Powell Jones (Wes); Caleb, Lilly Grace, Molly Kate, Olivia, and Tyler Pantoja; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Bud was a proud veteran, having served honorably with the US Army in Germany during World War II. He loved hunting, fishing, parachuting as a hobby, and nature. He loved his home, which he built himself, and cooking. He made furniture for a living for over sixty years working alongside his wife in their business. He was a man who had faith in Jesus Christ and in his later years longed for heaven.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 3:00 PM, at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4454 Dortches Blvd. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
