Elijah Sylvester Luper, Sr.

Elijah Sylvester Luper, Sr., 91, passed away Monday, April 27, 2020. He was born October 21, 1928 in Edgecombe County to the late Andrew and Mamie Williams Luper. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Cynthia Luper McLuen; brothers Clifton “Cliff” Luper, Charlie C. Luper, George J. Luper and sister Shirley Luper.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Mary Jane Luper; two sons Elijah “Buck” S. Luper (Kathy), Christian Adam Luper (Chris); daughters Burnae Luper Pridgen (Marvin) and, Melissa Luper Fritch (Brett); brother Amos J. Luper; sister Lucy L. Potter; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Following the CDC guidelines. Viewing will be Wednesday from 12:00 PM til Friday at 12:00PM during regular business hours. Private family burial to follow
