Margaret Wallace Leggette

Margaret “Peggy” Wallace Leggette, 83, passed away January 21, 2023. She was born in Nash County on September 17, 1939 to the late Elnora Freeman. .

Margaret leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Kent Leggette of 34 years; sons, Gary Land, Timothy Land (Claire), Mark Land (Pam) and John Lindsey (Jennifer); daughters, Darlene Williams (Larry) and Margaret Sharpe (Scott); brother, Michael Freeman (Brenda); sister, Jolene Ethridge (Marshall); 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; special thanks to sitter Frances Snipes and Community Hospice.

Visitation with family and friends will be Monday, January 23, 2023 from 6-8:00 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 2 pm in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Memorial Park.
