.Obituary for Samuel “Little Sammy” Ray Land, II
Wilmington – Samuel “Little Sammy” Land, II, age 48, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on October 28, 1967, he was the son of the Samuel “Sammy” Ray Land and Patsy Ann Joyner Land. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Daniel Land and Betty Eason Land; and his maternal grandparents, Harrison Joyner and Pauline Turner Joyner.

Along with his parents, Little Sammy leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sister, Tammy Jo Land Dew and husband, Brian, of Wilmington; and his niece, Samantha B. Dew of Wilmington; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; all whom loved him dearly.

The family would like to say a special thank you to his caregiver, Jennifer Wagner.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Alicia Porterfield officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
