Albert "Lynn" Joyner

Albert “Lynn” Joyner, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 29th, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born November 5, 1945, at home in the Sandy Cross community to the late Red and Ebbie Joyner. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Patricia Coley Joyner, cherished daughters, Amy Joyner Vester (Jonathan) of Elm City, NC, and Jennifer Joyner Owens (Jimmy) of Cross Junction, VA, and adored grandchildren, Baeden, Lachlan, August, and Phoebe Vester, as well as Trip and Coley Owens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Burlyn and Dixie Joyner. He is also survived by two sisters: Dolly Joyner (Jackson) and Evelyn Joyner: sisters-in-law, Brenda Coley, Gloria Coley, and Frances Joyner, brother-in-law, Jimmy Coley (Angie); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lynn served honorably in Vietnam and worked for many years at Service America and Lowe’s Foods before his retirement. He loved to cook, play golf with his friends, work in his yard, and spend time on the porch with his wife and their dog, Sophee.
The family will receive visitors from 3:00-4:00 pm on Sunday, July 3rd at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville, NC with a brief service to follow.
