Chris Clinton Hardy
1951 – 2015
Nashville –
In the early morning hours of Thursday, April 30, our beloved husband, father, son,
grandfather and dear friend peacefully finished his race here on earth.
Chris was born in Nash County December 2, 1951.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Gardner Hardy, and by a brother, Kip Hardy.
He leaves his devoted wife of 36 years, Kathleen “Kathy” Sullivan Hardy;
two sons, Joel Clinton Hardy and Bradley Lloyd Hardy (Ashley), all of Nashville;
mother, Pattie Carter Hardy Jackson (William).
a granddaughter, Anna Grace Bridgers of Elm City; sister-in-law, Debbie Hardy of Castalia
and several nieces and nephews.
He will also be sorely missed by Angel, his faithful and loving Pug.
Chris graduated from Northern Nash High School and was an active member of Rock Creek
Baptist Church, the American Legion in Nashville,
and member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also in the U.S. Navy and
served during the Vietnam era. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the beach, and riding his UTV.
While Chris found great joy in many activities, nothing soothed his heart or pleased him more
than spending every possible moment with his family. He understood the value of
creating precious memories and left his friends and family with many to cherish.
