Albert Ray Farmer, 88, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022. He was born December 30, 1933 in Nash County to the late William and Bessie Farmer. He was a sergeant in the US Army. But his true passion was auto paint and body work. He worked at Moores Body Shop and Sammy’s Body Shop. Albert was a magnificent painter, ahead of his time. He was also known for being the picture taker at all the family reunions. He was the 7th child to be born into a family of 15 kids. He was a special brother to Frances Greene, A special uncle to Rhonda Tharrington (Scott), Angela Radford (Thomas), Randy Brantley, and nephews Steven and Jakob. In addition to his parents he was preceded on death by brothers, Leamond, Jake, Luther “Kit”, Jack, William “Coon”, and James “Bug” Farmer; sisters Ruth Hammond, Jeanette Rowland, Pat Lancaster, and Pearl Morris.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Marjorie “Bunch” Calhoun, Ginger Burgess, Frances Greene, and Brenda Banks.
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11:00am, Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
