Lloyd David Faircloth, Sr.

Lloyd David Faircloth, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Born in Hoke County, NC on December 20, 1935, he was the son of the late William S. Faircloth and Ola Mae Kinlaw Faircloth. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Joyner Faircloth; and his son, Lloyd David Faircloth, Jr.
Lloyd retired from Taylor Oil Company (ETNA) after 35 years of dedicated service. When asked, he would always say his fondest memory was the day he met his wife. Lloyd loved to dance and was a member of the Rocky Mount Single Club for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Lloyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Lloyd is survived by his son, Michael Dwayne Faircloth (Marie) of Elm City; his daughter, Pamela “Pam” Faircloth Taylor (Lynwood) of Elm City; his grandchildren, Amanda R. Faircloth, Hunter B. Taylor, Zachary Taylor, and Braxton Taylor; his brother, Bobby Faircloth; his sister, Dixie L. Bundy; his special friend, Brenda Jefferson; and his special neighbor, Mamie E. Weaver.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Gary Wood officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
