Loretta Sue Davis

Loretta Sue Davis, 67, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021. She was born July 11, 1954 in Mt. Olive, NC. to the late James and Grace Pate Brinkley. She was a loving wife, mother and mother-in-law. Sue enjoyed cooking, dancing, singing and fishing. Most of all she loved God. She stood strong in her faith and knew she would go to her heavenly home one day. Sue had the sweetest spirit and loved her family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, James R. Brinkley Jr., Rocky Brinkley, Thelton Brinkley and Tim Brinkley.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Phillip D. Davis; daughter, Stephanie Davis Metzger and son-in-law Jason Metzger.

A Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Parker officiating. Visitation with family and friends will follow after the service. Burial will be on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
