Elsie Gevenia Coppedge

Elsie Gevenia Coppedge, 99, went to be with her Lord and Savior August 17, 2022. She was born November 11, 1922 in Nash County to the late Jonathan Clee Edwards and Eleanor Powell. She was the wife of the late Rev. Harvey Coppedge. She was a Christian woman that loved her family, the Lord, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all her heart. Elsie loved sharing her faith with others. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Harvey Coppedge; children Calvin and Linda Coppedge; sisters Othell Griffin; brothers Clem Edwards and Brodious Edwards..

She leaves to cherish her memory Terry Coppedge son of the home; grandchildren Brian Coppedge, Jason Coppedge, and Sarah Coppedge Phillips all of Rocky Mount; great-grandchildren Kenzie Coppedge, Elaina Coppedge, Rylan Phillips, Weston Phillips also of Rocky Mount. Also to cherish her memory Jon Phillips husband to Sarah Phillips, and Katie Bass fiancé to Jason Coppedge; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive at Cornerstone Funeral Home, Nashville NC on Sunday August 21, 2022 from 1:30-2:45pm. A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm in the Chapel with Rev. Brandon Dees, Rev. Michael Edwards, and Rev. Dal Coppedge officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist, 505 S. Englewood Drive Rocky Mount NC 27804 to missions.
