Jackie Coley, age 65, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 25, 2022 at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC.

Jackie was born in Nash County on May 9, 1957 to Charlie and Daisy Perry Whitley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Benjamin Langley, III and her faithful canine companion, Amy. She is survived by a loving family that includes her daughters, Pam Rich and husband, Brandon of Castalia, and Wendy Langley of Kansas; sister, Sherry Ballard and husband, Larry of Fairview, NC. She was especially proud of her grandchildren, Amber Byrum and husband, Austin of Nashville, Lillian “Lilly” Langley of Kansas, and Faith and Kaidin Rich of Castalia; and great-grandchildren, Haydin “Punkin” Byrum, Addison “Pretty Girl” Byrum, and soon to arrive, Samuel “Sweet Pea” Byrum. Jackie will also be deeply missed by her niece, Jennifer Ballard (Jonas) of Fairview, NC; great-niece, Diana Marie; special cousins, Tammy, Ricky, Serenah, and Kelsey Calhoun; her children’s father and special friend, Thomas Coley of Rocky Mount, along with a host of family friends, church family, and other extended relatives.

Please join friends and family for a special time to remember and celebrate Jackie’s life at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, 8444 Town Creek Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am, and also at Jackie’s home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday, May 27.
