Roberta "Bobbie" Hart Brunson

Roberta “Bobbie” Hart Brunson, age 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Born in Pitt County, NC on January 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Eugene F. Hart and Dessa Mayo Tripp Hart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Dixon Brunson; and her sister, Doris Hart Murphy.

Bobbie is survived by her children, Bobbie Brunson Gardner (Randy) of Lynchburg, VA, Anne Brunson Goguen (Ray) of Land of Lakes, FL, William “Bill” Hart Brunson (Trudy) of Nashville, and Dicky Brunson (Wanda) of Cary; her grandchildren, Teresa Gardner Bouthillier (Bryan), Brad Gardner (Kelly), Scott Lynch (Liz), Melissa Lynch Burton (Chris), Valerie Lynch, Heather Brunson Griffin (Nathan), Jonathan Brunson (finance’ Anna Echols), and Kevin Brunson; her great-grandchildren, Haley Gardner, Noah Gardner, Conner Burton, Carter Griffin, Windley Griffin, and Genevieve Brunson; and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service to celebrate Bobbie’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum with Pastor Chris Fowler officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
