Brenda Alford Boykin

Brenda Rose Boykin, 75, passed away February 15, 2022. She was born April 15, 1946 in Lee County, NC to the late Illiff and Nora Alford. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Boykin; sister Virginia Joyner (Bud) and brothers Bobby and Billy Alford (Gladys). Brenda loved fishing and her family, especially her grandchildren. She is no longer in pain and is now flying high and we thank God for the footsteps she left in our lives.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Mike Boykin (Allyson); daughters Lynne B. Kight (Dennis) and Janne Driscoll; grandchildren Daniel Boykin (Allyson), Rachel Eckert (Dillon), Rebecca Price (Dylan), Connor Stallings (Preston) and Collin Evans; sisters Mildred Shelton, Wanda Alford and Muriell Bennett; sister-in-law Aileen Alford; many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held 4:00pm – 6:00pm on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
